Week 1 Personal Blog

While surfing on myspace i surprisingly started to think about my homework. I remembered, "GOD! I have to make a blog. What's he even trying to teach us with this? What am i going to write? Everyones gonna think i sound like an idiot." So i stopped to think for a minute. I then began to realize that eportfolios could change the entire college application and education experience. Along with Scott i also envisioned the eportfolio trend taking its place over the next decade as an efficient way of displaying work and letting others know what's beyond that which meets the eye. If college applicants had an area to show what type of person they are and what makes them different from another applicant, it could drasticly change the way universities accepted people. Also, if college students had another area upon which their writing could be judged with less restrictions it could change the teaching styles of many professors to teach students how to be more socially educated as well as intellectually advanced. I am very excited to see how my eportfolio turns out and what becomes of the system. Who knows? Maybe it will even take over myspace. Haha.

I liked that you pointed out that Eportfolios allows to you present yourself with less restrictions and convey yourself not only in an academic venue but alows you to show case your personality as well. I also didnt really realize about how Eportfolios will effect the application process.. pausitively more than negatively, I hope!
